The aim of the project: to improve prevention and reduce social inequality in Elektrėnai municipality.
The project includes:
- To train a home visitation specialist to provide family visitation services according to Home visitation early intervention model.
- To purchase the equipment needed to provide a home visitation service.
- To provide a home visitation service for at least 25 families from the 22nd week of pregnancy until the child is 2 years old.
Project benefits: increased number of breastfed babies (infants, children) and infants (<6 months) vaccination coverage. Decreased number of pregnant women who smoke
and pregnant women who have high blood pressure. Decreased number of second pregnancies until the first child is 2 years old and number of visits
to the reception department due to accidents, grievances, poisoning until the child is 2 years old will decrease. The physical development of newborns, infants and children
up to 2 years of age will improve. Parents' ability to take care of their children in a safe environment and the development of emotional connection between parents and children
will be improved.
The project will also contribute to remote health and social well-being indicators:
- the number of families at social risk due to the lack of parental childcare skills will decrease by 100,000 / capita at the end of the year ;
- reduction of hospitalizations due to injuries (up to 2 years);
- women's participation in the labor market will improve;
- a reduction in maternal crime.
Target groups of the project: Services are provided to women and families who meet the inclusion criteria and agree to participate in the project on a voluntary basis.
Criteria for the inclusion of women:
- Pregnant women (up to 22 weeks pregnant) (priority: first-time pregnant young <21 years of age and older> 40 years of age).
- Pregnant women (up to 22 weeks pregnant) living in a social risk environment and / or with at least one of the following risk factors: smoking, alcohol consumption,
low social skills, socially unacceptable behavior, unsafe social environment, criminal and criminal experience, mental health disorders and illnesses, insufficient parenting skills,
poor relationship in a couple / family, domestic violence, lack of attachment to an existing child, poor living conditions, low self-esteem, low psychological resistance,
neglect of an existing child, previous unwanted pregnancies.
