The Committee of the Baltic Research Programme visited Lithuanian research and higher education institutions

The Programme Committee of the Baltic Research Programme meeting was held in Vilnius and Kaunas on 27-28 of September 2022. The Research Council of Lithuania as the Programme Operator in Lithuania was an organiser of the meeting.

During the meeting, members of the Programme Committee and observers from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and the Financial Mechanism Office in Belgium visited the Project Promoters’ of joint projects funded under the Programme.

In the list of the visited institutions were the Centre for Physical Sciences and Technology, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Vilnius University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, and Vytautas Magnus University.  The guests have had the excellent opportunity to be acquainted directly with researches teams of the international projects led by Lithuanian Principal Investigators as well as the research activities the projects are executing. These ongoing projects were selected for funding under the Baltic Research Programme call for proposals in Lithuania in 2020. Lithuanian researchers are carrying out 12 research projects together with the partners from Estonia, Latvia, Liechtenstein and Norway.

The Baltic Research Programme is a joint research programme of three Baltic States: Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, - funded from the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms in the period of 2014-2021.
